About My Photography
I've taken photographs for most of my life. I was just eight or nine when my Grandparents gave me my first camera for Christmas and, as simple as it was, I loved it. It wasn't until much later, though, that I stopped just taking photos, and started really making them.
I think in many ways it began as an "easy" way to make art; I didn't have to learn how to paint, I didn't need to know how to draw - all it took was to press the shutter release.
Within these galleries, you'll see some of my passions surfacing: aviation, architecture, and design. One of my other passions that reveals itself in the "Things" gallery is my love of aviation. I can't say why, but I love flying, and I find the machines that make that possible (in all its forms) fascinating. And people. People are great photographic subjects, and portraits are really special to make.
So, please click on People, Places or Things in the menu to see the galleries and find out a little about my ideas, and the way I think.
